Your Questions
Answered
I can’t speak Italian. Is this going to be a problem?
Not at all. Here at La Vita Sukha, English is our first language. Most of the folks in Roseto will at least make the effort to communicate with you in English if they see you really struggling with Italian. If you are considering learning Italian let us know and we can organise lessons for you here in the village.
What is your policy on rubbish and waste?
We do our best to send as little waste as possible to landfill. We separate food waste, plastic & metals, paper, and glass. Bins are provided for each type of waste.
Rinse or wash food packaging before putting it in the recycling bin.
Leftover food goes to our chickens, who, in turn, give us eggs.
We encourage you to treat our space as an extension of your home and to leave it in the same condition as you found it. We have cleaners to do the deep cleaning, but we do also expect our colivers to clean their own bedrooms and contribute to cleaning the common areas. In short, we really appreciate it when guests are mindful and respectful.
How many people can you host?
The villa can sleep up to 20 people in separate beds. Our dining room can host up to 70 people for conferences, events and courses and we work closely with other B&Bs in the village who will be happy to offer additional accommodation should your event require it. Just let us know what you need. For our coliving experiences, we prefer to keep group sizes to a maximum of 14 to ensure everyone’s comfort.
What about car parking?
Our house is the last house on a quiet cul-de-sac road, so there is ample and very safe on-street parking.
It’s important to me that I get to know the local culture. Will this happen?
Absolutely. Learning about local cultures that are unfamiliar to us is, in our opinion, what can truly broaden our horizons, so a healthy portion of the activities we organise for you are with our local friends, who are keen to give you a little insight into their way of life. Liz’s parents were born in Roseto and she has close family still living here, so you will have access to local culture at its most genuine.
