Seasonal Stays at La Vita Sukha
Based in the fairytale-like mountain town of Roseto Valfortore, in Puglia, southern Italy
Live with us from March until the end of May
and from September until the end of November
In the spring and autumn, La Vita Sukha opens its doors for longer stays to people who want to live and work in a shared, respectful environment, immersed in the peace and calm of nature.
This is also a way for us to meet and connect with people who might wish to belong to a permanent community here in the future.
In the long term, we’d love to see an intentional, regenerative, permaculture-based community form here. Our coliving seasons are a way of bringing those people to us naturally and organically, enabling us to get to know each other without pressure or expectation.
What This Is
Seasonal coliving at La Vita Sukha is about shared space, not shared identity. Residents live independently while naturally crossing paths – over meals, walks, or workdays – without obligation or expectation of closeness.
What This Is Not
La Vita Sukha is not a therapeutic space or personal development programme. We don’t facilitate emotional processes or group dynamics – and we ask guests to arrive resourced, self-directed, and respectful (and capable) of shared living.
Who We're Looking For
Remote workers, slow travellers, expats, retirees, families, creatives and digital nomads.
Mindful, nature-loving people seeking a beautiful, calm base in Italy.
Those who enjoy light social contact without pressure.
Residents who are comfortable with independence and personal responsibility.
This isn’t the place for those seeking a transactional experience or ready-made activities to consume. It’s a space for those who ask, “What can I contribute?” rather than “What’s on offer?”
What Your Life Will Look Like
The ability to live and work at your own rhythm in a beautiful, peaceful environment.
The opportunity to help out with fun projects on the land.
Cooking meals together with fresh, home-grown ingredients.
Sharing circles and sacred ceremonies.
Movie and game nights.
Savouring delicious local Italian food and wine.
Plenty of laughter and dancing!
The opportunity to meet and befriend our extremely lovely and friendly local community.
Join us anytime from March until the end of May and from September until the end of November.
The Future
Our goal is to evolve into an intentional community in the future, but in the here and now, we are not a ready-made, fully-formed community.
Our doors are open to respectful, responsible people who are curious about living in an intentional community and who would like to test the waters with us.
We embrace open-minded discussions about the deeper aspects of life, respecting the universal energy beyond the physical world. Permaculture ethics and principles are central to everything we do – and yes, we do eat grass-fed, locally produced meat.
With daily mindfulness practices, we aim to live with awareness and respect – toward each other, our environment, and the planet. You’re welcome to join our practices, but participation is always optional.
If this resonates with you, we’d love for you to stay with us!
